The irreplaceable token (NFT) asset has been extremely popular for more than 12 months, and the value of a large number of collectibles has soared. While interest in NFTs has dropped to a four-month low, according to Google Trends search queries, there are still plenty of NFTs for sale in cryptocurrencies in the hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. Here are the top five most expensive digital collectibles in March 2022 with NFT base prices.

The top 5 NFTs have a base price of $30,000 or more News has been reporting that NFT's weekly sales have been dropping every week for the last month. This week is no exception as the metric for NFT sales over the past 7 days is down 23.80% from the previous week. In addition, as mentioned above, Google Trends (GT) search queries show a significant decline in global searches for the term "NFT".

Despite the drop in activity, there are still many NFTs for sale at high prices so far, and many are still valuable. This weekend, News took a look at the top five collections by highest floor price. The floor price is the lowest price for any given NFT in a given collection, which means the rest of the NFTs in that collection are selling at a price above that value point. NFTs are also measured by the average item price, which is the average selling price divided by the number of units sold.

The 5 Most Expensive NFTs Today Base Price

On March 12, 2022, the top NFT collection with the highest reserve price was the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT. At the time of writing, Yugo Labs created a BAYC with a reserve price of 80 Ether or $207,000. Currently, out of today's supply cap of 10,000 BAYC NFTs, 6,374 unique addresses have at least one BAYC.

The second highest reserve price today comes from the Cryptopunks series with a reserve price of 75.95 ETH. This means that the cheapest Cryptopunk NFT today is worth $196,000. Of the 10,000 Cryptopunks available, 3,423 unique addresses have at least one Cryptopunk.

The third most expensive NFT floor is priced well below BAYC and Cryptopunks floors, as Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFT floors are only 18.48 ETH or $47,882, using the current Ether exchange rate. Yugo Labs NFT Series MAYC has 11,861 owners and currently has 17,997 MAYC NFTs available.

The fourth highest reserve price today comes from the Veefriends collection as the NFT compilation has a reserve price of 14.2 Ether or $36,792. Statistically, there are 10,255 Veefriend NFTs available with 5,247 current owners.

Finally, the fifth most expensive floor today comes from the Clonex NFT series. Currently, Clonex NFTs have a floor price of 11.2 Ether or just over $29,000. Out of the 19,065 NFTs available, 8,543 unique addresses have at least one Clonex NFT.

Other notable NFT collections for March 2022 include Doodles, NFT Worlds, Azuki, World of Women (WoW) and Cool Cats. At the time of writing, the lower bound for Doodles is 10.2 ETH, the lower bound for NFT Worlds is 9.98, the lower bound for Azuki is 8.88 ETH, WoW has a floor of 7.9 ETH, and Cool Cats' floor is currently 7.8 Ether. This means that in the top ten most expensive floors, users must pay $20,000 or more for an NFT in one of the above NFT sets.
