Press Release

Press Release. Moledao showcased MoleHack: NFT 2.0 – a global challenge to discover new innovations in the NFT space. In partnership with Bybit, Polygon, BitDAO, iZUMi Finance, Project Galaxy, thirdweb, buildspace, L2Y, Web 3 Collective and more, the hackathon has a total of over $80,000 in grants and prizes for builders to win.

In conjunction with MoleHack: NFT 2.0, Moledao is launching an exclusive web 3 membership NFT for new and existing Moledao builders at Project Galaxy. For new builders of MoleHack: NFT 2.0, the first 50 registrants who submit a completed project will be able to pick up a special edition hacker NFT, while all Moledao Web 3 hackathon participants and partners will be able to pick up the Original Mole collection. Both batches of NFTs will be available for application in April.

Mole Island NFT holders, also known as moles, are part of an exclusive hidden mole kingdom living in the web3 era. Some of the benefits include introductions to gas pedals, investors, and access to Moledao's exclusive community which provides access to investors, marketing opportunities, legal help, and more. There will be more batches of Moledao membership NFTs in the future, awarded to those who participate in the Moledao community.

From February 28 to March 28, 2022, builders will have 1 month to register and submit their projects. They are invited to create new innovations in the NFT field and recommend four areas.

MoleHack: NFT 2.0 focuses on new and early web3 builders. MoleHack aims to grow and nurture early blockchain builders from 0 to 1, and encourages all new builders to participate in the hackathon. As such, only projects that have raised no more than $100,000 in investment through NFT sales or investments are eligible to participate in the hackathon.

Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit, said, "The innovative NFT is changing the way ownership, membership, branding, fundraising and community building are done on the Internet. It's a new era of respect for uniqueness and commonality. MoleHack: NFT 2.0 provides a unique opportunity for developers, designers and entrepreneurs to discover and implement new innovations in the NFT ecosystem."

While the mass adoption of NFT has seen tremendous growth in the space, barriers remain," said Muskan Kalra, Polygon's chief developer relations officer. NFT innovations that create solutions to current market problems will make them more accessible to the masses. Polygon wants to work with such NFT projects to build the vision that Web3 works for everyone."

To kick off the hackathon, Moledao will host a Twitter space with Polygon, L2Y, ResearchDAO, The Block School and more web3 builders on Thursday, March 3 at 1 p.m. (UTC) to exchange and explore the future of NFT beyond JPEG on the topic of the NFT 2.0 hackathon.

NFT will continue to be a popular way to get new users into the blockchain ecosystem, making innovation even more important to accelerate the process. Sign up for MoleHack: NFT 2.0 here and join us in building the future of web3.
