0x News, February 5, Meta (formerly Facebook) announced this Friday (February 4) local time the introduction of Personal Boundary for the VR social platforms Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues. The feature allows metaverse avatars to keep a distance of 4 feet from each other in Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues, thus "creating more personal space" for users and "making it easier to avoid unwanted interactions.

Vivek Sharma, vice president of Horizon Worlds, explained, "We intentionally introduced "personal boundaries" as the default state because we thought it would help set norms of behavior – which is important for relatively new mediums like VR."
