Infinite Sky - Getting Started Guide

The cryptocurrency market is off to a rather grim start in the new year, with several currencies trading well short of their peak prices. Bitcoin and ETH are prime examples of this. However, when it comes to NFT and blockchain-based games, the impact of this situation on user adoption and retention is negligible.

According to a study by DappRadar, this success can be attributed to the increasing adoption and popularity over the past year, such as games for money or metaverse. Despite the recent negative trends in cryptocurrencies, blockchain games continue to be widely used.

GameFi is the hottest trend in the cryptocurrency market right now. But, what is GameFi? GameFi is a fusion of gaming and finance, essentially enabling users to earn digital assets for their gaming efforts. It is powered by blockchain technology, ensuring verifiable ownership of assets as well as providing a marketplace for transactions both inside and outside of the game.

Unlike traditional games, blockchain-based games give users full ownership of their in-game digital assets. These assets are represented in the form of irreplaceable tokens (NFTs) that can be traded and sold within the game. In addition, the game project's native tokens can be used externally for other purposes, such as purchasing real-world items.

Gamefi is a combination of traditional gaming with smart contracts and cryptocurrency inventions such as NFT, providing a platform for users to trade, lend and borrow income. Play to Earn modeling games currently dominate the meta-universe and are considered to be one of the fastest growing areas in the cryptocurrency world. While the future of gaming in the cryptocurrency world looks bright, the success of the project depends heavily on the incentives associated with its use. Unique and engaging gameplay and profitability topped the list. In addition, ownership of gaming assets helps to build a more loyal and engaged user base.

Enter the Infinite Sky

Infinity Skies belongs to the Play to Earn genre, which allows users to set their own long-term and short-term goals. There are tons of money making games in the cryptocurrency world, but what sets Infinity Skies apart is its unique gameplay with multiple money making mechanics built in. All current products are focused on the money making aspect rather than the gameplay aspect.

A sandbox game that allows players to unleash their creativity and imagination to build magnificent castles in the sky while socializing with other players. The core gameplay revolves around four main gameplay elements: building, trading, socializing, and adventuring. Each player in Infinity Skies has a section of the sky where they can build castles. The ultimate goal of Infinity Skies is to become the King of Infinity Skies.

ISKY tokens use blockchain technology to enable gamers to earn, trade and buy sky on their own terms. The project's native tokens can be earned or purchased in fiat or other cryptocurrencies. Currently, this is the only way for players to access and progress in the game. In addition, all in-game building components, islands and associated decorations are in-game NFTs. Thus, providing gamers with the opportunity to customize entire islands and profit from them in a variety of ways; one of which includes selling in-game assets on the marketplace.

Gameplay

Gameplay revolves around four elements – building, trading, socializing and adventuring.

Building will involve players building castles in their own part of the sky (not so simple, of course). Socializing entails visiting other castles through portals so that you can socialize with the owners of the island and other visitors. Transactions will be conducted through the unlimited exchange of Skyblocks (ISKY) tokens. Adventures will entail carrying out quests that will be their own full-fledged games.

Infinity Skies will thus become a virtual world, and the island will be the starting point for venturing into these different games.

A demo version of the game was recently made available to the public for use on PC. In the words of the project leader, "While the game demo is very well developed, this is just the beginning of Infinity Skies in the coming months".

Let's see what you can do in the demo now.

It all starts with a small piece of land marked with different grids to place items on. The current building menu includes walls, pavement and decorative items beyond the island. You can add more land. The portals to other islands are located in the center of the plot, but are locked in the demo. The UI is intuitive, with simple drag-and-drop and rotation options. There are hints at the bottom of the page to help you get started. If this description gets you all excited, maybe it's time to download the demo.
