Blockchain platform Tezos will become the new sponsor of soccer club "Manchester United", according to The Athletic. The two parties have reportedly agreed to a multi-year partnership worth more than £20 million per year.
The previous eight-year contract with insurance broker Aon expired at the end of last season. The current team competes without an official training sponsor.
According to the publication, the club has held talks with several potential partners, including a number of blockchain companies. As part of the agreement, Tezos will display its logo on the team's training uniforms.
Journalists say the deal has been signed and the soccer club has filmed promotional materials for it.
Hoffenheim of the Bundesliga also announced an agreement in the field of cryptocurrency. The Baby Doge project will be the club's official partner and will help launch its NFT collection.

The emoji token logo will appear on the LED panel during the team's home games. The two sides will also release co-branded merchandise.
In December, FC Spartak Moscow announced a partnership with Floki Inu meme-cryptocurrency. A month earlier, the project entered into a similar partnership with Naples, Italy.
Recall that in September 2021, the Crypto.com payment platform became the sponsor of the French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain.
