Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy continue to increase their holdings in BTC. This time they purchased 660 bitcoins worth $25 million. A great show of faith.

Recall that the last acquisition took place in late December, when MicroStrategy paid $94 million for 1,914 BTC.

Incidentally, Michael Saylor started buying bitcoin in August 2020. At the time, he said it was better to keep cryptocurrency on the company's balance sheet rather than cash.

Currently, MicroStrategy CEO Michael J. Saylor revealed on Twitter that he made the purchase at a price of $37,865 per BTC.

"MicroStrategy purchased an additional 660 bitcoins for $25 million. The average price per bitcoin is $37,865. As of 1/31/22, it held an additional 125,051 bitcoins at an average price of $30,200 per BTC, which equates to $3.78 billion."

More recently, Michael Saylor has stated that he has zero fear of a new "cryptocurrency winter". In turn, he emphasized MicroStrategy's plans to continue buying bitcoin.

"If you're going to invest in bitcoin, the short term is four years and the medium term is ten years. The right time horizon is forever.

Interestingly enough, if you want to be like Michael Seiler, Bitcoin should be yours too.

MicroStrategy Buy New Bitcoin

Notably, MicroStrategy purchased bitcoin between Dec. 30, 2021, and Jan. 31, 2022, according to an official SEC form filed on Tuesday.

In fact, MicroStrategy used the crash to buy 660 bitcoins for $25 million, adding 125,051 to its holdings. The new investment is the company's first acquisition of the year so far.

Incidentally, in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, MicroStrategy CFO Phong Le said the company will continue to increase its BTC holdings this year, ignoring the recent crash in the market.

"Our strategy with Bitcoin is to buy and hold. So as long as we have excess cash flow, or find other ways to raise capital, we will continue to invest it in bitcoin."

Very importantly, the confidence shown by Phong Le and Michael Saylor has supported BTC through this difficult time.

I'll say goodbye with this quote from Tyler Winklevoss: "Bitcoin is not a faster horse, it's a car that flies."
